Model an Apprenticeship Pay Progression.
Registered Apprenticeships are paid jobs with progressive wage increases as skills increase. This calculator lets you model a planning scenario—but your actual wage schedule comes from the employer or program sponsor.
Build the scenario
Every apprenticeship program sets its own wage schedule.
The editable 50% starting and 90% ending values are simply an example progression for modeling. They are not a universal Registered Apprenticeship rule. Ask the employer or program sponsor for the actual starting rate, step schedule, hours, overtime rules, benefits and journey-level wage before relying on a projection.
Why wages rise during apprenticeship
Registered Apprenticeships combine paid work, structured on-the-job learning, mentoring and related instruction. Apprenticeship.gov describes progressive wage increases as skills and productivity increase.
